This document is written with the assumption that the audience is already familiar with and has the skills and knowledge to create categories and indexes for document retrieval purposes, profiles to use when scanning documents, as well as process workflows if part of the Therefore™ landscape. These Therefore™ functions are integral and prerequisites to successfully implementing the Therefore™ for Microsoft Dynamics® NAV add-on.
Therefore connector for Microsoft Dynamics® NAV is an add-on that provides the end user the ability to interact seamlessly with both applications through the Microsoft Dynamics® NAV interface. The end result is a complete and customizable business management solution that will save time and money as it allows users to capture, store, search, retrieve, manage, share, and distribute information as needed.
From within Microsoft Dynamics® NAV, users can do the following: (see Appendix I for which document types and versions are generally supported):
•"Attach" documents via a scanner (using the Therefore™ Capture Client) or by importing them. These documents are automatically index based on mapped fields, and then saved to Therefore™.
•See a list of these "attached" documents and then open them directly in Therefore™ (the Therefore™ Multi-format viewer allows a large number of formats to be viewed, even without a matching application installed on the user's PC).
•For document types/versions that are related it is also possible to see a list of related „attached“ documents.
•Print & delete „attached“ documents.
•Open a Therefore™ search dialog to search directly in the related Therefore™ category.
•Send outgoing documents to Therefore™ (see Appendix I for which document types and versions are supported). Note: these will then also be visible as "attached" documents.
•View and action Therefore™ Workflow tasks. In addition it is possible to view the workflow history.
