Moving an Existing Category to a Case Definition

Scroll

If an already existing category should be used as a case category, it can be moved to be part of a case definition. This process also moves all the documents saved in the category. This is useful for integrating categories created before the implementation of the case management feature.

note

Note that this process involves several irreversible database operations. It is strongly recommended to create a database backup before starting.

Although this process is useful for migrating already existing categories, it is strongly recommended that any categories you wish to have as part of a case be created directly as part of the case definition.

We recommend only migrating categories whose index fields easily match the case header index fields; for example, fields referencing the same Referenced Table.
