Multi-server environments

Thereforeâ„¢ Services must be started and configured with the proper network access permissions.

Note for Thereforeâ„¢ Business and Thereforeâ„¢ Enterprise editions only:

The Local System account will not have permission to access network resources

•It is highly recommended to check the database provider's client licensing requirements. Some database providers may require all users accessing information from the database (e.g., from Thereforeâ„¢ clients) to have a valid user license.

•Multi-server systems: all servers must be on the same major Thereforeâ„¢ version.

•For thumbnail previews of videos, Windows Media Player and all required codecs must be installed. In addition the video extensions must be listed in the Media Extensions list in Thereforeâ„¢ Solution Designer advanced settings.

•For Oracle: a native database client communication software must be installed and configured.

•For Oracle: When Unicode characters that are not in the database character set are used in Thereforeâ„¢ system settings, these will not be saved properly. If UTF-8 is used this problem will not occur.

•Certain prerequisites, for example Microsoft .NET, are installed automatically if the Thereforeâ„¢ Setup finds these missing before installation.

•Where version numbers are not stated, Thereforeâ„¢ will support all versions that are supported by the vendor of the SQL Server/browser.

•All administrative applications (Thereforeâ„¢ Solution Designer, Thereforeâ„¢ Console) must be at least in-line with the current version of Thereforeâ„¢ Online.

•Starting from Therefore 2020 U4 all inline powershell scripts are signed, so the setup can be installed on a PC with high security settings.
