Designing a Workflow

Before designing a workflow, ensure that the category you intend to use meets the requirements outlined in the section Therefore™ Category configuration.

The simple workflow example for this scenario consists of only a Call COM DLL Task which sends the document to SAP. However, for error handling or exception handling it is recommended to have additional steps defined in the workflow. Those could be pre-check steps before sending the data or error handling if sending failed. We will see a visual representation of this workflow in the upcoming sections.

Note: The workflow can be started manually by a user or automatically for each new document. If the workflow should be started for each new document, don't forget to define this in the category settings (see the Administration Manual for more details).
