A Therefore™ system that is being used to scan large numbers of documents may require a group of users to process the batch. In such an environment, the functions of scanning, indexing and verification may be performed by different users on different workstations. After the initial scanning of a batch is complete, the batch can be unlocked so that another user can claim the batch and finish processing it. For this reason, documents being processed by the Capture Client are stored on a shared drive, and not on the local user's PC. This makes the batch of documents available to users on different physical systems.

When no scanning is done and only indexing is required, no Capture Client license is needed. This is called indexing mode. |
