The Thereforeâ„¢ MFP Scan Application is used to archive documents directly from a multi-functional device (MFD) into the Thereforeâ„¢ document management system. Documents can be easily scanned, indexed, and saved to Thereforeâ„¢ directly from the MFD's display panel: negating the need for a client application. In addition, a hardware-keyboard can be connected to the device making it easy to key in entries.

The Thereforeâ„¢ MFP Application consists of an application which runs on the MFP and a web service which gives the client application instructions using SOAP. The web service uses the Thereforeâ„¢ API to source the necessary information from the Thereforeâ„¢ server, and for the saving of documents to the Thereforeâ„¢ server.
