Journaling

This tutorial covers Use Case 1. The connector can be configured to save all e-mail traffic in Exchange for all mailboxes using the journaling functionality. Using journaling it is possible to forward a copy of every incoming or outgoing e-mail to a pre-defined mailbox. The Therefore™ Connector can then easily access this mailbox and save all e-mails from there. This process guarantees that ALL user e-mails are saved, but the user mailboxes are not affected at all. We recommend referring to Microsoft documentation for more information on Microsoft Exchange Server journaling.

In this tutorial, we will look at how to configure the connector to save all e-mails from a pre-determined journal mailbox.

Journaling is not available with Exchange Online.
