Operating system with minimum service pack

note

•Therefore™ Capture Client engine requires an ISIS driver, or Kofax VirtualReScan V.5+.

•Therefore™ Viewer requires a scanner with TWAIN support.

•For embedded playback of videos, Windows Media Player and all required codecs must be installed. In addition the video extensions must be listed in the Media Extensions list in Therefore™ Solution Designer advanced settings.

•Connection to the Therefore™ Server must be available via a LAN or WAN connection.

•Minimum Therefore™ Client: 2020. We do not allow older clients to connect.

•Certain prerequisites, for example Microsoft .NET, are installed automatically if the Therefore™ Setup finds these missing before installation.

•Users should not install Therefore™ 2019 on Windows 10 LTSC 2015. This Operation System has not been designed to receive latest updates from Microsoft and could cause adverse effects to future updates of Therefore™.

•Inline powershell scripts are signed, so the setup can be installed on a PC with high security settings.

•Please make sure your browser is up to date to ensure functionality of the Therefore™ Web Clients.

•Opening Microsoft Office documents directly in their native applications is only supported if the matching Office application is installed on the client machine.

•Drag and drop from Windows Explorer is supported on all browsers.

•JavaScript must be enabled on all browsers.

•Caching and browser scripting must be enabled.

•The file type settings made in the web client by a user are saved in the browser cookies on the local client.

Therefore™ Go

•In the Therefore™ Go connection settings, set the port number to 443.

Therefore™ Universal Connector

3rd Party Application	Windows applications using standard Windows controls are supported, but each application has to be checked for compatibility to definitely know whether it works with the Universal Connector or not. Please refer to the Universal Connector manual for more details: Determining Suitability
Permissions	Logging onto the Therefore™ Server and configuring a profile requires administrator rights on the Therefore™ system.

Therefore™ Reporting

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

•SQL Server Reporting Services are provided by Therefore.

•In order to edit reports, an .rdl editor must be installed. We recommend downloading the free Microsoft SQL Report Builder compatible with your database version. The latest version of the report builder is recommended.

Microsoft Power BI

•A Microsoft Azure account is required to access Microsoft Power BI.

Therefore™ Mailbox Monitoring

•Therefore™ Content Connector is provided by Therefore.

Integration with Microsoft Office

•Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project are supported with Microsoft Office 2016, 2019, 2021, and Office 365.

The new Outlook for Windows app is currently not supported by the Therefore™ Integration with Microsoft Office

•Open from Therefore™ does not apply to integration with Outlook.

Integration with eSignature providers

•Integration with various eSignature providers is provided by Therefore.

•For manually passing documents to an eSignature provider using the Therefore™ Viewer, an account with that eSignature provider is required. Please check the feature availability page of the Therefore™ Solution Designer manual for more information:

Feature Availability

•For automatically passing documents to an eSignature provider using the Therefore™ Workflow an account with that eSignature provider and a Therefore™ edition including workflow are required.

•The eSignature service need to be installed.

Integration with cloud storage providers

•Support cloud storage providers: Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box.

•Therefore™ Content Connector is required for downloading documents from cloud storage to Therefore™. The Therefore™ Content Connector is provided by Therefore. A valid license is needed.

Citrix environment

•Therefore™ Client software can be installed on the Citrix environment.

Kofax Power PDF Advanced

Kofax Power PDF Advanced version 5.3 and above.
