The Therefore™ DropZone is an easy and direct way to store documents to Therefore™ while still making them easily accessible in Business Central just by clicking a link.
The Drop zone will only be visible if a Mapping exists.
When opening e.g. Vendors or Customers, the DropZone will be visible. No reports exist for those two cards, as Customers and Vendors cannot be posted or printed.
The mapping is only used for Ad-Hoc document saving and viewing.
To save a document to a specific Customer or Vendor, open the Windows File Explorer and drag&drop a document on-to the DropZone:
Files can only be dropped onto the area marked with the red square, not to the box with filenames.
When the document upload was successful, it the filename appears below the drop area. Index data has been filled-in according to the Mapping.
As an alternative to drag&drop, it’s also possible to upload documents using the “Add Document” dialog and choose a file. The dialog will also be shown when drag&drop is used, if “Archive immediately” checkbox is turned off. This dialog offers the option to choose a keyword-value if defined in the category. Additional information, as well as a Business Case ID can be specified as well.
