The Therefore connector for Microsoft Dynamics® NAV is installed on the Microsoft Dynamics® NAV database server. In essence, the add-on has customized the standard database structure of the “out-of-the-box” Microsoft Dynamics® NAV software to establish the integration with Therefore Document Management System. Please refer to Programmers Guide for details.
The database for specific versions of Microsoft Dynamics® NAV will be copied from the install disc to a Microsoft® SQL database server supporting Microsoft Dynamics® NAV. (Versions available include: 2005 and 2008).
Special Considerations:
Please provide the version information to your implementation team contact person prior to installation meeting. Because customers may have already customized the existing database to meet client specific needs, the existing modifications and process customizations should be analyzed and documented prior to installing the Therefore™ Add-on. Add-on objects are provided for the NAV W1 versions, thus merging the objects into your localized NAV version is always necessary. We recommend that a trained NAV developer do this process.
