Cross category searches allow users to search for documents across multiple categories. To perform a cross category search it is necessary that a suitable cross category search template is designed in the Solution Designer. See Cross Category Searching by Index Data for details on setting up a cross category query.
The dialog is the same as for a new category search except for the Options. File searching remains the same, but Select Categories is an additional option.
Available categories
All available categories are listed.
Add
Categories can be selected and added to the Search in these categories list.
Remove
Categories can be selected and removed from the Search in these categories list.
Move Up/Move Down
The order of the categories can be adjusted. This will affect the order that they are displayed in the hit-list.
