Case Definition Properties are displayed by right clicking on an empty area within the dialog and selecting the Properties menu-item.

Name

The name by which the case definition will be referenced.

Description

A description text for the case definition can be entered.

Sub-case

A drop-down list containing keyword dictionaries and primary fields. Selecting one will break the category down into sub-cases based on the entries in the keyword dictionary or primary field. These sub-cases then allow document permissions to be set for each entry. In addition, sub-cases can be used to refine retention policies.

For reference, the table name in the Thereforeâ„¢ database is displayed.
