Category Properties are displayed by right clicking on an empty area within the Category definition dialog and selecting the Properties menu-item.
Name
The name by which the category will be referenced.
Description
A description text for the category can be entered.
Subcategory
A drop-down list containing keyword dictionaries and primary fields. Selecting one will break the category down into subcategories based on the entries in the keyword dictionary or primary field. These subcategories then allow document permissions to be set for each entry. In addition subcategories can be used to refine retention policies.

When using a primary field, the unique identifier MUST be an integer, but the dependent fields will be shown in the name column. |
Background color:
A background color can be applied to the dialog.
For reference, the table name in the Therefore™ database is displayed.
