Thereforeâ„¢ provides a means to export configuration definitions for a number of the objects under the Design object. These definitions are exported to an XML file and can then be imported into other Thereforeâ„¢ systems, saving the time and effort needed to re-create these definitions.  This is also a convenient way to backup Thereforeâ„¢ configuration information during test and development. These files could then be saved to Thereforeâ„¢ for versions control.

Export is supported at many different levels in the Solution Designer hierarchy of objects. For example, if you select the Thereforeâ„¢ object in the left hand pane of the Solution Designer you will export all Thereforeâ„¢ objects including categories, keywords, datatypes, etc. If you select a specific category for export, only that category will be exported.

Export

Opens a browser dialog that allows you to specify a location for saving the configuration file.

View all Items

When exporting from a lower level only the relevant items are displayed for export. By checking this box all items are displayed.  

Include Folder Structure

If this checkbox is ticked then categories will be exported with their folder structure, otherwise only the categories will be exported.

Export role assignments

Exports the configuration of role assignments attributed to the object.
