Microsoft Entra ID

Scroll

The following tutorials contain information on setting up Microsoft Entra ID as an external user directory.

This feature was formerly known as Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).

This means that Thereforeā„¢ takes the users and groups defined in Microsoft Entra ID and authenticates the user in Microsoft Entra ID only. It then logs them into Thereforeā„¢ using OpenId Connect tokens. For that reason, usernames and passwords do not need to be created Thereforeā„¢ when using Microsoft Entra ID as a cloud based user directory.

To increase security, two applications (Thereforeā„¢ Client Application and Thereforeā„¢ Server Application) will be created in Microsoft Entra ID.

User names/passwords do not need to be created in Thereforeā„¢ when using Microsoft Entra ID as a cloud based user directory. Thereforeā„¢ takes the users and groups defined in Microsoft Entra ID and authenticates the user in Microsoft Entra ID only, it then logs into Therefore using OpenId Connect tokens.

The following steps will be necessary:

1. Create the first application in Microsoft Entra ID

2. Create the second application in Microsoft Entra ID

3. Add Microsoft Entra ID as an external user directory in the Thereforeā„¢ Solution Designer
