Set up Therefore categories, profiles and processes |

Categories
Depending on your requirements, you will need to create a number of categories in Therefore™ that we will then match to the relevant document type & version in Microsoft Dynamics® NAV. An analysis should be performed to identify which of the supported document types & versions are relevant to you. There are then two ways of creating the categories in Therefore™.
Automatic Category Creation
To make this process easier we supply an xml file containing the categories required for Microsoft Dynamics® NAV. Once you import this file, you will see the "Therefore for NAV" folder and the imported categories. Each category contains the index fields or tags that enable a document to be easily found in Therefore™. In addition these index fields can be mapped to the corresponding fields in Microsoft Dynamics® NAV. If required, you can define more index fields in a category, but you should not use the User Defined Datatype. You can of course delete any of the categories that you do not need to be link to Microsoft Dynamics® NAV.
Manual Category Creation
If you choose to manually create your categories or use existing ones then you must also manually create the folder "Therefore for NAV" and place all related categories in this folder. In addition there are three index fields that must be added to each category. These fields are “Archive Document Source”, “Archive Document Date”, and “Archive Document Description ”. These fields will be used to store the date a document is stored, its Source Code and its Source Description. The Source Code and Source Description for each Document Type can be defined in MicrosoftDynamics® NAV. The settings for the three mandatory are as follows:

Capture Profiles
Besides linking Therefore™ categories to Microsoft Dynamics® NAV, it is also possible to use Therefore™ Capture Client profiles for scanning and "attaching" documents. Please see the Therefore™ User manual for more details
Workflows
It is also possible for users in Microsoft Dynamics® NAV to view & action Therefore™ Workflow tasks. Please see the Therefore™ Administrators manual for details on the creation of workflows.
