Quick Start Guide

This is a generic category for saving marketing materials such as sales guides, product brochures, promotional photos, and advertising materials. It’s even possible to store large files such as videos. It’s especially recommended to save the source files of such materials in this category to ensure the originals can always be edited, republished, or repurposed.

A few points to keep in mind with this category:

Name – This is a free text field. The yellow highlighting indicates that it is a mandatory field. This means the field requires a value to be entered in order to save the document.

Type - This is a keyword dictionary, a field which only allows users to select values from a pre-determined list. This field uses a pre-existing keyword dictionary called Type. Although the entries in this dictionary can be modified and added to, the default values are:

•Brochure

•Marketing

•Other

•Product

•Release Notes

•Sales

•Service

Product - By default, this is a free text field. However, it’s possible to restrict the entries available by replacing this with a new keyword dictionary field. This gives you greater control of the entries that can be selected, making it easier down the line to sort and categorize different types of documents.
