Technical Bulletin for Therefore™ Online users

 

A compatibility issue requires some Therefore™ Online users to update their client software.

 

Details

Therefore™ Document Loader

Starting Monday, 4 May 2026, Therefore™ Online will no longer allow connections from Document Loader clients with a version number less than 31.2. Connections from Document Loader clients older than v31.2 will be blocked and an error message will be shown to the user.

All Document Loader users will need to upgrade their client software to at least v31.2 by Monday to continue usage. As always, Therefore Corporation strongly recommends Therefore™ Online users to keep their client software updated. The latest version of the client software is v34.x.

 

Other Therefore™ Clients

Therefore™ Online generally supports client backwards compatibility for a period of 5 years. As such, we would like to remind all users that minimum version requirements are still in effect.

Starting Monday, 4 May 2026, the compatibility policy will be more strictly enforced, and connections from clients older than 5 years will be blocked. This means the minimum supported client version will be v26.0.0., with the exception of the Therefore™ Document Loader, as noted above.

Stricter enforcement of the policy means that even specialized clients like the Case Manager, SAP Connector, Universal Connector, as well as other connectors and API tools, will not be able to connect to Therefore™ Online. A client update will be necessary to continue connecting to Therefore™ Online.

 

Recommended actions

Document Loader users: If you are using an older client software version, update at least to v32.1. Updating to the latest version (34.x as of April 2026) is recommended.

Users of older client versions: Update at least to v26.0.0. Updating to the latest version (34.x as of April 2026) is recommended.
